Pink Frog: Personal Branding in Cologne

Showing personality before the first word is spoken.

At a glance

For Christian Hammacher and his consultancy Pink Frog, I created personal branding imagery exploring different situations and impressions. The photographs work both as striking website portraits and as a personal presence on LinkedIn.

The brief

Through Pink Frog, Christian Hammacher helps companies and decision-makers sharpen complex ideas and turn them into clear stories. His work draws on strategy, language and, above all, his personality: listening, questioning, recognising connections and creating clarity.

To build his personal brand, Christian needed photographs that conveyed that combination. Professional and capable, yet relaxed. Personal and approachable, with a confident presence.

The images needed to give him a versatile visual foundation for his website, LinkedIn and Pink Frog's wider communications.

My approach

Before taking photographs, we focused on one question: how should people see Christian?

We created a range of situations and impressions, from calm, clear portraits with a direct presence to more relaxed photographs showing personality and approachability.

We deliberately varied the location, clothing, posture and composition so the images could serve different purposes, from a striking website portrait to a personal presence on LinkedIn.

The resulting imagery supports Christian's personal brand and shows him as he is: clear, confident, approachable and personal.

For me, good personal branding makes visible what is already there, in a way that fits the person's positioning.
