The brief
I was part of the production team as an assistant on a cinema commercial for Jürgen Hohnen. Alongside my work on set, I took the opportunity to photograph selected moments behind the scenes.
The aim was an authentic insight into the making of the film: the people, equipment and many small situations that won't appear in the finished commercial.
My approach
I took observational behind-the-scenes photographs while the set was running. My focus was on teamwork, the work in front of and behind the camera, and the moments between takes.
The result is a short documentary series offering a second perspective on the production: the journey towards the finished result.
