The brief
At Deltalight and Pro Office's Night of Light in Mönchengladbach, the evening explored what good lighting does for spaces and how it influences perception, atmosphere and identity. Architects, lighting designers and interior designers came together to exchange ideas, discover new perspectives and experience light as a design tool as well as a technical necessity.
My brief was to make that atmosphere visible.
That meant photographing the talk on stage, expressions in the audience, conversations between guests, details of the lighting solutions and the distinctive design of the spaces. The photographs needed to tell the story of the evening as it unfolded, capturing its quality, energy and personal connections.
My approach
At an event about light, lighting naturally plays the leading photographic role too. I deliberately incorporated the existing atmosphere, using contrasts, shadows, reflections and different lighting moods as part of the story.
The series goes beyond documenting the event. It shows Deltalight as a brand that brings people, architecture and light together, while providing authentic content for future corporate and event communications.
