Metallbau Jansen: Corporate Documentary Photography in Heinsberg
Showing craftsmanship. Bringing people into focus.
At a glance
For Metallbau Jansen, I created corporate imagery in the middle of everyday working life: production, office planning and portraits of the management and apprentices. The photographs feature on the new website and are also used for recruitment.

The brief
Metallbau Jansen combines over 100 years of craftsmanship with modern production, ambitious façade projects and a team that brings them to life from the initial planning through to completion.
The new website needed imagery that would make that connection visible: the machinery, workshop and finished projects, and above all the people behind them.
We needed authentic images of everyday working life: skilled work in production, planning and meetings in the office, management portraits and photographs of employees and apprentices. The collection also needed to be versatile enough for recruitment and future advertising campaigns.
My approach
I photographed the business in action, in the middle of a normal working day.
I combined real processes with carefully planned situations. The photographs show craftsmanship and machinery alongside planning, coordination and teamwork in the office. Portraits of the management and apprentices add the people who represent Metallbau Jansen today and will help shape its future.
I wanted a visual style that preserved the company's real character. Lighting, perspective and composition create a polished, contemporary look while retaining the feel of a working metal fabrication business.
The resulting collection now works across different parts of the website. It conveys expertise and craftsmanship, gives the family business a personal face and shows prospective applicants who and what they can expect at Metallbau Jansen.
